Getting Older, Part 2
I felt pretty good yesterday, just a bit stiff. So I skipped the rope for about 15 minutes this morning and then left for a short run. About 1k into the run, I had to stop: Pulled the muscle again. I guess that recovery time is a lot longer for an old man. But I did find a cycling trainer at a bike shop close to the office. Time to loosen up the pocket book and buy it. I don't like limping.....

Getting Older
I always hate to admit I'm getting older. When MTB and I were in Las Vegas last month, we went for a run at Lake Mead. It was about a 10K run. About 500 meters from the end, I apparently pulled a muscle in my leg, something that has never happened to me before. So for the last month, I've been using MTB's eliptical. Today I skipped the rope and ran about 3.5 k, what had been my usual morning workout. Tonight I'm stiff. And I have also gained about 5 pounds in the last month. Not good......

Not Much News
MTB posts all the fun news and pictures. But I did have a great weekend last week. Great brisket, cake, ice cream, and a wonderful family. Thanx to everybody for making it a wonderful weekend. See you soon.
One story. We were at Ryan's on Saturday, and when we were eating cake and ice cream I told Caroline it was my birthday cake. We finished up, and then went to the park by Ryan's home. When we returned, Caroline was really excited and asked 'Can we do presents now?' She was really disappointed when I told her I only had one present and that it was already opened.......

How was your Sunday?
I always look forward to Sunday as an opportunity to devote my thoughts to God and not worry about what is going on in the world. Today started out well. We left at 8:30 a.m. to attend our meetings in Palmas. Because it was the 1st Sunday of the month, I left after Sacrament meeting so I could take a family of 8 to their meetings in another chapel, something I do every month. When I arrived at the Chapel, I saw one of our local leaders (a counselor in the Stake Presidency) who asked me if I had been able to complete the Financial Audits I was asked to do. I received the documentation for the audits on Wednesday. I had tried to contact the leaders of the units I was asked to audit, but was not successful. The counselor asked which units I was asked to audit. When I told him, he said that I should just show up at one of them, since the Bishop would probably not want to schedule an audit. So I left the family of 8, told them I couldn't take them home, and left. I went to another Chapel, found the bishop, and arranged to do the audit after Sacrament meeting. I waited for an hour, then played auditor for another 90 minutes. At about 2:30, I went home. So I spent my Sunday like I do most other days, worrying about finances. Not what I set out to do.
Was your Sunday any better???
